Music City took center stage Wednesday night as Taylor Swift and LL Cool J hosted the Grammy Nominations Live! concert special before a packed house at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.
Hunter Hayes was the night's lead country nominee, earning three nods including Best Country Solo Performance for "Wanted" and Best Country Album for his self-titled debut. He's also the only country act in the all-genre Best New Artist category.
Taylor Swift, Eric Church, Carrie Underwood, the Eli Young Band, Ronnie Dunn and the Time Jumpers followed with two nominations each. Other country nominees were Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, Little Bit Town, Alan Jackson, Don Williams (with Alison Krauss), Zac Brown Band and Jamey Johnson.
Performance highlights included Dierks and the Band Perry covering "Jackson" in honor of the late Johnny Cash, while Luke Bryan performed "I Don't Want This Night To End." Hunter announced the nominees for Pop Vocal Album by performing a hit song by each artist in the category -- Kelly Clarkson (Stronger), Florence + the Machine (Ceremonials), fun. (Some Nights), Maroon 5 (Overexposed) and Pink (The Truth About Love).
The 55th Annual Grammy Awards air live February 10th at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. Check out a full nominees list at grammy.com/nominees.
